Arizona Kinship Navigation Program™ Model

Arizona Kinship Navigation Program (KNP) Model (formerly known as Arizona Kinship Support Services (AKSS) Kinship Navigator Program) is a program of AzCA, providing assistance to families who are raising their relative’s children (grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and non-relatives/fictive kin).  Many of these children come into the care of their relatives due to many different reasons including abuse, neglect, abandonment, drugs, incarceration, death, chronic illness, etc. The Kinship Navigation Program is designed to provide these core services to help kinship caregivers navigate the various systems that they will encounter when raising their relative’s children and effectively utilize available community resources.

Arizona Kinship Navigation Program is the first kinship model approved by the US Department of Health & Human Services’ Prevention Services Clearinghouse as a “supported” practice.

Your financial support directly impacts our ability to bring programs and services to those who need them.
